Dr. Bhargavi is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE), Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. She has also served as HoD (M.Tech CSE Specialization in Business Analytics) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering during the period 2019-2022. She has more than 25 years of Industry, Academic and Research experience.
Prior to joining VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology), she worked as a Senior R&D Engineer in Xambala Inc., a Semantic Processor Company. She has also worked in SSN College of Engineering, Chennai as an academician and in National Aeronautical Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore as a Graduate Trainee.
She received her Ph.D in Computer Science from Anna University in 2014, and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Madras in 2004.
Research
Bhargavi's research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Analytics. She has authored and published several research papers in IEEE/ACM/Springer International Conferences and refereed Journals. She has also authored Book Chapters in highly reputed research reference books.
